Many will join a gym but make the mistake of having it located too far away. This will not only cut into your time but eventually become an excuse to not going. If it’s closer, there is a higher chance you will use the gym.
Don’t ever join a gym without really looking it over at first. Make sure that the gym has the equipment that you need to meet your fitness goals. You might notice problems when carefully inspecting the place that might make you want to find another place.

Many will join a gym with good intentions, but then drop out in a few weeks. Working out is hard and takes discipline. If you do join a gym, make sure you are really committed to sticking with it.
Make sure you take proper measurements so you know whether you are improving or not. Many make the mistake of just weighing themselves. This way you can see real results versus just what the scale says.
