When it comes to starting an exercise program, it is very easy to get caught up in enrolling in the snazziest gym, purchasing the most complete home gym, hiring the best personal fitness trainer or waiting until we have enough money to purchase the latest and greatest infomercial fad exercise equipment before you feel that you can or should start. This kind of “perfect” preparation is a grave mistake. For here is the startling news. It doesn’t really matter all that much if you enroll in a professional gym or not. It doesn’t really matter if your home gym is complete or not (more important is that you start with something – anything). It doesn’t really matter if you have a personal trainer or not (a good book on body building and diet will suffice as there are many). And fad infomercial exercise equipment come and go so fast that for the most part, most of them are not worthy of that much consideration and commitment to exorbitant expenditure of your budget. More than all of this put together is the value of consistency.

What Is The Most Important Thing to Succeeding In Your Exercise and Fitness Program

You must begin. You must begin wherever you are and with whatever you can. If you can start with only a pair of dumbbells and a few plates – then do it! If you can’t even afford dumbbells and must purchase two gallon jugs of water to provisionally serve as dumbbells until you can get the real thing, then go to the grocery and buy those two gallon jugs. If you can’t even afford to buy the book, then go to your public library, get a library card and borrow that exercise and fitness book – do so. I hope that my message here is clear – the true key to your exercise and fitness success is a commitment to achieve your goal, a willingness to start immediately and the perseverance to consistently continue until you become the person of the body that you want to have.
