The problem with a lot of people is that they do not appreciate their body enough. Without a healthy, fit body we will not be able to perform daily tasks properly, with a great deal of ease. Therefore, it is important we find ways to improve our current fitness levels, so we can perform tasks a lot easier. If you happen to have children, then I am sure you will want to see them grow up and get married and see your grandchildren. It also important we improve our fitness levels, in order to avoid common health problems, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease etc, which can potentially lead to a stroke, heart attack and brain tumours.
Regardless of your age, weight and height, you can always work towards improving your fitness to reach your optimal level. For example if you are someone who enjoys walking, then devise up a timetable, this will allow you to plan your daily routine, so that you can find convenient times when you will be able to walk. So that you do not get bored, try brisk walking, for thirty minutes to an hour on a daily basis. Furthermore, make sure you vary the routes that you take when walking, otherwise you will soon lose interest.
If want to do something more intensive then try jogging a few days a week. Thirty minutes to an hour, three days a week should be sufficient, but this may vary, depending on your fitness level. If you find that you can only do one day a week then that s fine, but the more days you do, the better you will feel, both physically and mentally and lower the risk of health problems.
You can also improve your health and well-being by relaxing. A number of studies have shown that high stress levels can increase blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and higher the risk of a stroke or heart attack. There are a number of ways you can achieve this. Spending time with family and friends is great way to forget about the pressures of life. Going on short trip breaks is an excellent way to take your mind off things, since you will be exploring the environments and meeting new people.
Another important factor is making sure you go to bed at reasonable times. Studies have shown that going to bed early can lower anxiety and stress levels and help you recover more quickly, if you suffer from an injury or are feeling unwell.
